The Complete List of CMD Commands

        CMD (Command Prompt) is an application program that helps to perform the text commands in Computers (windows). CMD provides us around 280 commands to perform the work. These commands are used to perform certain tasks using CMD instead of 'Graphical Interface'.

        CMD commands are used in Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP. Many of the CMD commands are still we are using and that are very useful for us. There are some DOS commands also but, nowday's we are not using DOS Operating system. So DOS Commands are not so important.

So we will see all the commands of CMD which everyone should know. Not the all commands but, which commands are being used normally that we should know.

Note: CMD commands are not case sensitive commands. For eg. dir & DIR are same.

cacls	: Used to change permissions of files
call	: Used one batch program to call another
certreq	: Used to request a certificate from a certification authority
certutil	: Manage Certification Authority files and services
cd	: Used to change folder (directory) or go to a specific one
change	: Used to change terminal services
chcp	: Displays the number of active console code page

defrag	: Used to defragment system hard drive.
del	: Used to delete a file(s).

dir	: Used to display files and folders list.
dirquota	: Manage File Server Resource Manager quotas.
